The Fargo Film Festival is excited to welcome our friend and one-time intern Simone LeClaire back to the festival as the 2014 recipient of the Rusty Casselton Award on Saturday, March 8.
LeClaire is an independent filmmaker from Minnesota. She received a BA in film production and film history/criticism from MSUM in May 2013, and currently resides in Minneapolis.
She is producing and designing a silent feature set during WW II, with production to take place this summer in Minneapolis and Fargo. Simone has also recently completed writing her first feature-length script, a found-footage story about a small town and its mysterious lake (she is VERY excited about this).
When not obsessing over a movie, Simone likes reading, playing guitar, staying up late, drinking tea, and learning about new things.
LeClaire will participate in a Q & A immediately following the screening of “Girl Who Lives in a Tree” on Saturday, March 8 at 2:15 PM at the Historic Fargo Theatre.
