The Fargo Film Festival is excited to welcome Roger Furlong to FFF 14 on March 8.
Dr. Furlong, a Montana-based opthamologist, was part of the medical team that went to the South Sudan in 2011 to restore eyesight to over 200 people as documented in the film “Duk County.”
Furlong received his medical doctorate at the University of California San Francisco Medical School followed by his residency in ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, California. His fellowship in Anterior Segment Surgery was performed at the University of Utah, Department of Ophthalmology in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dr. Furlong specializes in glaucoma, anterior segment surgery and intraocular lens-related problems along with routine eye care and cataract implant surgery.
Dr. Furlong will be present for a Q & A immediately following the showing of “Duk County” at 11 AM on Saturday, March 8.
